Hey I hope you’re doing well.
Our days are full and a bit of a blur. The alarm goes off and I go to work. Soon I’m back home with snotty noses and it’s dinner time. Bath, meltdowns, books, and finally sleep. Repeat.
One of the reasons I got off social media is because I feel like I’m not doing enough. So combine that guilt with being able to see all the things everyone else on the planet is doing and you have a molotov cocktail.
I still feel that way, but I’m learning how to release some of the pressure.
I wanted to make an animation this week and you’ll notice that didn’t happen. Maybe I’ll do it next week, maybe not. It is what it is and I’m doing what I can.
Thanks for being here.

The snot!!!! A staple in our house from now until June.
When I need a good reset I remind myself: “raising good human(s) is doing enough.” That I get to work in a field I believe also makes dent in doing something for humanity is a bonus. I also turn to this gem of an essay on work by Toni Morrison: “The Work You Do, The Person You Are” https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/06/05/toni-morrison-the-work-you-do-the-person-you-are
