I think Carly and I are in survival mode. We’re only doing what’s necessary.
The days blend together. The dishes pile up. Crumbs accumulate on the floor. I’m tired.
Here are some things that are helping me through:
riffing on my comic from last week.Olive laughing for the first time. Carly is VERY jealous it happened when she was gone and this confirms I am the funnier parent.
Getting the final stamp to complete our family. Thank you so much
!Playing and throughly enjoying Hyper Light Drifter.
Watching my students make Corina Kent inspired designs and getting excited to teach them about zines and animation.
DoorDash gift cards.
Making drawings I won’t show anyone. Except this one:
This guy doing bike tricks on top of a moving train because why not (skip to 4:00)
John Porcellino’s King-Cat comics. Specifically Perfect Example and From Lone Mountain.
Michigan’s new “I Voted” sticker design (source)
“The working world and early parenthood are in direct conflict.” -
See you later. It’s bed time.
“When I grow up I want to be a caterpillar.”
