Olive has been getting a lot of attention around our house so we’ve been trying to make sure Knox doesn’t feel forgotten, abandoned, lonely, left out, etc. One thing we did this week was make some prints using our Prixel.
Knox’s first print:
His second print:
I digitally combined them:
He chose the shapes, where they go and what color to use. I only helped him with inking and printing. The first one was more linear and the second one was more circular. Did he do that on purpose? Notice how shapes interact with each other. Are those chance encounters or did he plan that?
Knox has nicknames for most of the Prixel pieces.
For example: rainbow, swimming pool, chair, bench.
Here’s the print I made:
Carly had the idea of making a letter for each of us. Something that was similar but different than what we did last time.
I digitally turned my print into this:
And then this:
I’ve had a couple projects recently that have made me feel incredibly inadequate. This little combination of colorful shapes feels like a win.
It’s full of potential. I could make a whole font like this. I could animate each shape so it wiggles into position to spell a word and then wiggles away to make another word.
Or it could also just be what it is. That would be perfectly fine.
We also collaborated on a print. He made the art and I made the frame:
Hearing his little voice say, “Dad, can we make prints again?” is the real win.
We love this product and Brandon (Prixel inventor) was nice enough to make a discount code for this newsletter. Use code VOLK15 to get 15% off a Prixel!
