The post last week was a lot, so I have just one thing this week:
I sent this print to my paid subscribers as a small way to say thank you.
I printed it using the Prixel, but it started with a design in Figma.
Then I transferred the digital design to the physical Prixel plate using little pieces while trying to avoid little hands.
I added a border and then I got rid of it.
I used two plates to make each print: one for the letters, one for the circles.
To make sure the circles didn’t overpower the letters I printed the circle plate two times on scrap paper before printing it a third time on the real paper. By the third print the ink was faded enough to compliment the letters.
Our kitchen table served as a makeshift print studio.
Success!

The state of design with Bobby Aaron Solomon.
A consolation sticker for those of us who have accidentally carved something right-reading (which means it will be printed backwards).
These poetry comics are wonderful.
If you have a Roku you can watch classic PBS shows for kids like Reading Rainbow and Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood.
Who represents America? is a beautiful photographic project and website by Robin de Puy.
This year I listened to The Story So Far for 2,951 minutes and Spotify Unwrapped shows they only got paid $2.51. What are some better ways to support artists?
Hey Olive, here’s your fellas. Big fella and little fella!

What an exciting way to print! I haven’t seen Prixel before, it looks like Lego!
I was actually thinking about making a Figma library for the prixel shapes too! This looks amazing & super helpful, is it publicly available on Figma or? 😀
